Why do people almost always report seeing a light and feeling only peace and serenity after a near death experience?
Those experiencing spiritual death strangely, also claim to see a light.

What Light Are You Seeing?
It's crucial to identify this source of light - whether the light is of God, or a luring mirage of evil that imitates the life giving God.
God is the Light of Life
"In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it - John 1:4-5
Lucifer disguises as light
"And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve." - 2 Corinthians 11:14-15Satan and his servants will appear as angels of light, speak what the people want to hear. They can even display counterfeit signs and wonders, and replace believers' hearts with a false sense of belief.
Disguised as angels of light, Satan and his servants can work to:
- harden believers' hearts toward the truth and
- accept the Devil's appealing alternative works
But they do so at their own peril.
God's Test: Love and Truth
Deuteronomy 13:1-3: "If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them,' you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the Lord your God is testing you to find out if you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul."
And 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12: "And for this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they might believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness."
Christians Are At War
Whether you realize it or not, you are engaged in a spiritual war!
Satan will not simply let you 'score goals' hands down.
It's a competition.
IT'S WAR!
Darkness will always content with light.
You have to resist and fight your own battle of salvation.
Satan's forces will attack us! The Devil will employ all evil devices to deceive with false signs and wonders.
Do Not Let Any One Lead You To The Hell Hole!Satan is very lonely and short of workers. He needs your service.
We need to be discerning. Stay Alert. READY to resist!
"Be sober, be vigilante; because your adversary, the devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8
What light does God mean?
Do we need to go around looking for imaginary light?
Who Need To See Light?
"The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned." - Isaiah 9:2, Matthew 4:16
"To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." Luke 1:79
Does God mean the visible light?
Let's examine the scriptures.
John 8:12
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." (NIV)
All we need is to follow God's law (Word) then we have the light of life.
The Word of God is light
Psalm 119:130
"The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple."
Psalm 119:105
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."
Do We need to see the physical light?
No! Absolute Not. It is not the physical light.
God's Word is The Light.
You don't need to see any imaginary light.
But you certainly need the Word of Life ...
to give out light.
